Farewell Party Invitation Greetings

The question to most of us is that following:

How can we practice to confront the unconscious?

By 1916 Jung developed the outlines of the confrontation is fueled by his own experience and that of many analysands who came to visit. In his book

and soul Self , Jung devotes some space in the process of individuation. From several examples, it outlines the major steps in this confrontation known as active imagination which takes the transcendent function.

Jung cites several sources from which materials unconscious cross the threshold of consciousness: dreams, interference unconscious in the waking state, omissions, symptomatic acts, fantasies spontaneous ... But often these elements do not to give voice to the unconscious. Also, when training is to decrease the attention criticism, which can accommodate the fantasies that emerge gradually from the unconscious.

But what about these fantasies? In the first note and combinations thereof. People who can draw, paint or sculpt, can give a tangible form to their representations.

Jung said "We must leave as much slack as possible to the fantasy, but not to the point it leaves the orbit of its object, that is to say, the affect, by triggering a process associative string (1) ". Exercise is difficult because most often the fantasies are linked to each other so continues. According

personal disposition of each, and unintentionally, emphasis is placed on the formatting or the understanding of different fantasies. Too much emphasis on shaping occult understanding, if understanding it takes over so many useful details that are ignored. Jung says "Shaping requires comprehension of the aesthetic sense, and understanding needs formatting aesthetics. Thus the two tendencies combine to form the transcendent function (2)" .

When the contents of the unconscious are properly shaped and understood, then begins the confrontation between the self and the unconscious step in the process. Here the danger that threatens the fantasies overwhelm me or that it overwrites the contents of the unconscious newly formed. "Facing the unconscious must be that the ego retains its value, and vice versa (3)" says Jung.

At this stage we should not underestimate the risks of such a confrontation, but reconciliation of opposites and the emergence of a third term should encourage us to continue because "this is a way to break free under its own power and find the courage to access self (4) ".

I am well aware of treating a difficult subject, which is difficult to place in a single ticket, and I encourage you to learn more read the following two books:

Best Funniest Army Saying

The woman and her animus and anima animus

Who better than Marie Louise von Franz discuss problems of women and of his animus ? The study of fairy tales gave him the opportunity to address this problem. Follow it!

The role of parents is paramount in the construction and future of the animus. Most women who are affected by a negative animus, have been based on the negative attitude of the father or mother.

"The father feels the animus of his daughter growing up and hated having the same process with his mother, his wife or in others, it seeks to crush. It is a tragedy as old as the world intellectual activities infant girls are injured or fail by the reaction paternal. Many women are seriously crippled spiritually and intellectually because their father at a crucial time, decreed that they could not succeed "(1) .

For his part " if the mother herself does not recognize value as a woman, she unwittingly transmit personal conviction that his little girl. Gradually as it grows, it will realize it will take her inhibitions for personal shortcomings and failures and judgments of others that reinforces the low opinion she has of itself, it will lose the little she could have self-confidence (2) ".

ML von Franz asks: " But why always bring down the blame on the parents? Since the beginning of mankind, the man makes the world a certain proportion of subconscious negative ". She added: " Everybody is born to parents with an imperfect conscious and unconscious ambivalence (3) ". In conclusion we can not escape the parental packaging, just when parents are connected to their unconscious, the pressure decreases.

When the woman saw below its potential, it is affected by a negative animus, it is particularly sensitive and has the feeling of being abandoned. When she discovers her unconscious obstacles, it changes the registry, then a real influence exerted around her. His creativity is finally released.

The man has some feminine unconscious, Jung called anima same for the woman of the opposite sex traits are found combined in the animus.

The anima
The anima is the inner image for Jung that man carries within him all the female (mother, daughter, sister, beloved wife). It was originally a derivative of the image of the mother, who is the first woman he met through him. The traits of this figure correspond to the properties owned by the feminine side of man, the style of his destiny vital unconscious (1).

The animus
The anima has counterpart in women the animus, derived from the paternal image. It is expressed in negative form of prejudice, opinionated, spiritual traditional patterns, brutality or other forms of masculinity Defective positively it is reflected in the spiritual element, creativity and strength of character (2).

When a man and a woman meet, four people were present: the ego of man, his anima, the self of the woman, her animus. The relationships between the various protagonists go through several stages:

A first relationship sets in, it is based on an unconscious identification. Man found characteristics he projects his anima on his beloved, and vice versa for women. We're talking about lightning, mad love. This enables and facilitates the encounter with the other. It may continue long but also degenerate very quickly.

After a longer or shorter, the man and woman are made by the animosity and the first venomous exchanges are emerging. The man discovers his partner traits that do not match his anima, the woman sees a different picture this man whom she covered with a thousand virtues. In the best case, the mechanism by Recall projections , Everyone gets some of its own elements, so the relationship can continue on a new footing.

When man lives in harmony with his anima, he becomes more creative, feminine in him is expressed, a new balance is emerging. It is the same for the woman when she joined the animus.

In alchemy the anima and animus are represented by the sun and moon, in tales by the king and queen. In everyday life, our dreams bring us into contact with kings and queens, in the guise of movie stars, politicians, personalities of the show business, explorers ...
